Key Takeaways

• The 360-degree dual-axis hinge loosens quickly; typing on a desk makes the display wobble like a bobblehead.
• Folding into tablet mode triggers aggressive thermal skin protection, cutting CPU wattage by 40% and tanking performance.
• Bafflingly ships without a stylus in the box, requiring an insulting $100 upcharge to actually use tablet features.
• High-gloss touchscreen glass acts like a vanity mirror under office lights, turning into a greasy fingerprint smear.

✅ Pros

• Lush 2.8K 120Hz OLED with deep blacks
• Comfortable contoured chamfered edges
• Reliable 11-hour casual office battery life

❌ Cons

• Wobbly hinge causes severe screen shake
• 40% performance handicap in tablet mode
• Stylus pen not included in box
• Blinding mirror-like reflections and smudges

📝 Verdict

"OmniBook Flip 14 pairs a gorgeous OLED with a wobbly hinge and severe tablet throttling, failing its 2-in-1 mission."

• Channel: Just Josh | Type: Full review | Based on: YouTube transcript

Key points

• A high-end 2-in-1 replacing the Spectre x360 14; the reviewer thinks it's great for students and general home and office use, and can handle light gaming too.
• Smaller and lighter than the Spectre 14 with better speakers, now with Intel Lunar Lake.
• The hinge is very tight and there's no lid notch, so it takes two hands to open.
• Writing with the stylus has paper-like feedback, but isn't as smooth as the ProArt.
• Webcam quality is disappointing at this price.
• Performance is better than the highest-end Snapdragon X Elite laptop they've tested, and it doesn't get hot, with the fans almost inaudible.
• Under the Fedora 41 beta, the speakers, Wi-Fi and brightness controls don't work.

✅ Pros

• Good all-round performance
• Quiet and cool
• Better speakers than the Spectre
• Light and compact

❌ Cons

• Poor webcam quality
• Needs two hands to open
• High list price

📝 Verdict

Excellent, and even more worth buying on sale.

Key points

• It keeps the Spectre's gem-cut design and is comfortable to hold.
• The glass touchpad's haptic feedback is a bit loose; setting it to about 25 intensity is recommended.
• Palm rejection when using the stylus works very well.
• x86 software compatibility is better than Snapdragon; Lunar Lake's integrated graphics perform well, but to keep the fans quiet, frame rates drop to 30–40 in games.
• 64Wh battery, with about 16 hours in actual use.

✅ Pros

• Beautiful design
• Very long battery life
• Good palm rejection for pen input
• x86 compatibility

❌ Cons

• On the expensive side (from US$1,450)
• Performance is throttled in games to stay quiet
• Touchpad feedback is a bit loose

📝 Verdict

One of the best 2-in-1s; if battery life doesn't matter to you, a discounted Meteor Lake Spectre x360 saves money.
